Owls duo Sam Hutchinson & Keiren Westwood could feature against Preston North End following the departure of Jos Luhukay.
Owls chairman Dejphon Chansiri confirmed that Jos Luhukay made the call to sideline Keiren Westwood and Sam Hutchinson. Now the Dutchman has left Hillsborough, many Owls fans are looking to see two familiar faces in Hutchinson and Westwood on the teamsheet.
The fitness of the two will be in question, after both have only played 45 minutes for the U23’s in the past couple of months. However, a place in the matchday 18 would start to please Wednesday fans, who are clearly frustrated of the two being left out.

Keiren Westwood, who is proven to be a top shot-stopper in previous seasons for the Owls, could be a key part to Wednesday moving up the table. Owls academy prospect Cameron Dawson was made Jos Luhukay’s number 1, but has proven to make vital errors in games such as the second goals of both Rotherham United and Swansea City. However, this does not completely clear Dawson from the squad, some experience might help him to fix those mistakes and put his actions into games in the future.
Sam Hutchinson could also be vital, as he proves to be a bit part of the Owls defence, putting himself in front of flying balls, and even putting the gloves on once or twice! Hutchinson is not afraid of the ball and is very brave, which is what Wednesday need to backup their defence right now.
The duo are both highly experienced, with a number of Championship matches under their belt, and know what to expect and how to deal with the Hillsborough crowd when not playing so well, which could be vital towards helping youngsters with the same prospect.
